Warehouses, food production and distribution centres run days, nights and weekends, often on rotating patterns, with hundreds of temps across a handful of big clients. A1ROTime works out every shift rate, night premium and overtime band the same way each week, and turns a signed sheet into a draft invoice.
Where the time goes
- Shift patterns. 4 on 4 off, 12-hour days and nights, and rotating rosters mean overtime and premiums land on different days for different people.
- Night and weekend rates. Each client pays its own night premium, Saturday and Sunday rate.
- Breaks. Unpaid breaks have to come off before overtime is worked out, or the figures are wrong.
- Volume. One missed line on a 200-person sheet is a payroll query and a credit note.
How A1ROTime handles it
- Day, night and weekend rates per client. Shift types, night premiums, Saturday, Sunday and Irish bank holiday rates are set once for each client.
- Overtime the way each client defines it. Daily, weekly or tiered thresholds, with separate pay and bill multipliers.
- Breaks deducted automatically before any overtime is calculated.
- Signed on the floor. The shift manager fills in the week on a phone and signs. The sheet can't be submitted until every worker is complete.
- Payroll export and draft invoice. Pay exports in your payroll import format, and a draft invoice with the signed sheet attached goes to Xero for approval.
- Warnings, not blocks. Ro, the built-in checker, flags unusual hours or missing details for the office to look at. It never stops a sheet.
In production every week. A1ROTime runs timesheets, pay calculation and invoicing for Dangan Group, whose clients include warehousing, food production and industrial sites.

Questions
Can A1ROTime handle night shifts that cross midnight?
Yes. Shifts are entered with a start and finish time, and night premiums and shift rates are applied according to each client's rules.
Can different clients have different overtime rules?
Yes. Each client can have daily, weekly or tiered overtime with its own pay and bill multipliers, plus its own weekend and bank holiday rates.
What happens if a worker is missing from the sheet?
The sheet can't be submitted until every worker's week is complete, so missing lines are caught on site rather than on payday.
How much does it cost?
€3 per active worker a month, with the first admin user included. See pricing.
