Operatives and tradespeople spread across sites, a different contractor on every sheet, and Monday mornings spent chasing signatures. A1ROTime gives every site its own timesheet link, applies each contractor's pay rules and has a draft invoice waiting in Xero once the foreman signs.
Why construction timesheets go wrong
- Sheets come back late or not at all. A foreman on a muddy site is not going to fill in a paper sheet and scan it.
- Every contractor pays differently. Overtime after eight hours a day for one, after 39 hours a week for another, travel time or allowances for a third.
- Rates are set by more than the contract. The construction Sectoral Employment Order sets minimum rates, and agency workers are entitled to the same pay as the contractor's own staff under the equal treatment rule.
- Queries arrive weeks later. Without a signed sheet and a record of how each figure was reached, every query becomes an argument.
How A1ROTime handles it
- One link per contractor and site. Each week A1ROTime builds the sheet from your roster and rates in JobAdder and gives you a link to send to whoever signs off. It works on a phone.
- The sheet can't be submitted half done. Every worker's week has to be complete before the foreman can sign.
- Each contractor's rules, applied the same way every week. Daily or weekly overtime thresholds, tiered multipliers, weekend and Irish bank holiday rates, unpaid break deductions, shift rates and allowances, with separate pay and bill multipliers.
- The working is written out. Every rule that fires is shown in plain English beside the figure.
- Invoice ready. A draft invoice with the signed timesheet attached goes to Xero for you to approve. Nothing is sent to the client automatically.
- Rates are locked when the sheet is made. A later change in your ATS never alters a sheet that has already been sent or signed.
Already running on construction sites. A1ROTime runs the weekly timesheets, pay calculation and invoicing for AllSite Staffing, a construction staffing brand, alongside Dangan Group.
Check your margin first: the free temp worker cost calculator adds holiday pay, employer PRSI and auto-enrolment to any pay rate and shows what is left at your charge rate.
Questions
Does A1ROTime work with JobAdder and Xero?
Yes. The roster and rates come from JobAdder, and draft invoices with the signed timesheet attached go to Xero. Invoices stay as drafts until you approve them.
Can each construction client have its own overtime rules?
Yes. Each client can have daily, weekly or tiered overtime, weekend and bank holiday rates, break deductions, shift rates and allowances, with separate pay and bill multipliers.
Does the foreman need an account or an app?
No. The site contact gets a link, fills in the week on a phone, tablet or desktop and signs. There is nothing to install.
How much does it cost?
€3 per active worker a month, with the first admin user included and €100 a month for each extra admin user. Implementation is a one-off €1,500 for up to 20 end clients. See pricing.
